Apple halts Photos Print service because images only last 24-hours

Apple is to cease its Photo Print Products service. After September 30th you will need to find an alternative service

Apple is planning to halt its Photo Print Products service at the end of September, and one of the reasons, according to Trusted Reviews, is story platforms from the likes of Instagram and Snapchat have promoted the idea that some photos are only around for 24 hours before they become irrelevant.

NME has closed its print edition after 66 years

The NME ceased its printed publication after 66 years; the weekly music title joined a growing list of once mighty magazines that now only exist online.

Way back in time, before Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or any other social media was ever dreamt of, young people got their musical kicks from a magazine (it was actually more of a newspaper)called the New Musical Express, or NME.

Up until earlier this month, the NME was the must-read magazine for keeping up with the latest exploits of the top bands and vocalists in the music world. Sadly, it’s time is up, the NME is to cease publication in print after 66 years. The weekly music publication will now focus on expanding its digital presence online and through radio.

Printer Error Triggered Bangladesh Race to Halt Cyber Heist

A printer error first tipped off Bangladesh’s central bank to one of the biggest cyber heists in recent history, according to a complaint filed to police that provided new details on the attempted theft of nearly $1 billion.

Zubair Bin Huda, a joint director of Bangladesh Bank, found the printer tray empty when he looked on the morning of Feb. 5 for confirmations of SWIFT financial transactions that are normally printed automatically overnight. He then tried and failed to print out the messages manually from the SWIFT system, according to his complaint to police, the first step needed to start an official investigation.

HP’s new PageWide range boasts faster poster printing
