Royal mail to accept franked mail printed in blue ink only

Royal Mail is to change to franking with blue ink instead of the current red ink. This is happening following the successful tests on blue ink which demonstrated an improvement in mail machine readability.

Sprint-Ink now have blue franking machine ink cartridges in stock for most models and are ready for next day delivery.

Sprint-ink.co.uk recently launched a compatible version of Epson’s 18XL high capacity ink cartridges for the Expression Home XP printer series. The Epson 18XL ink cartridge is compatible with the Epson XP-102, XP-202, XP-302 and XP-402 range of Expression Home printers. Epson’s original 18 series ink, also known as the ‘Daisy’ range is also available at Sprint-Ink.

Printed human tissue becomes a reality.

Printed tissue replacements using inkjet printers has took a step closer to becoming a reality! 

For some time scientists have been experimenting with the potential of using inkjet print heads to print 3D structures of living human tissue, but designing the ‘ink’ capable of carrying cells has been a challenge 

A team of scientists led by ARC Centre of Excellence for Electromaterials Science (ACES) have developed a new bio-ink capable of carrying these cells through the printer which improves the viability and allows better control of cell position through the printing process.

"These advances in biofabrication provide a platform to address diseases previously thought 'unstumpable'—soon we can watch them walk the walk," Professor Wallace of ACES said.

 

Sprint-Ink to launch new website

Sprint-Ink, the printer ink and toner cartridge supply company, are due to launch their new website in early 2013.

The new website will enable the consumer to find printer ink or toner cartridges, and purchase them much quicker with a more streamlined search facility,

The sprint-ink website is due to be launched in January/February 2013 with plans to add more websites in the near future.

They will also be increasing their printer ink cartridge catalogue with new products from Epson, HP, Brother, Canon and Lexmark. “With new Original and Compatible inkjet cartridges the consumer will be certain of finding the ink cartridge for their inkjet printer” quoted Mr Wilson.
